Bristol Sound Journey 2019
August 13 @ 7:30 pm - 9:30 pm£20 – £25
Sika’s sounds invoke a primal memory; a gateway for reconnection to ourselves, to earth and to great mystery.
Join us for an evening of deep relaxation. We’ll sit or lie down while Sika plays intuitively from his beloved collection of natural instruments: Didgeridoo, drums, native flutes, rattles and Māori Taonga Puoro (‘singing treasures’) as well as voice, field recordings and natural objects like leaves and shells. We may also feel the physical vibration of the didgeridoo, as Sika moves around the space while playing.
Sika has been offering Sound Journeys for 25 years. Based in New Zealand, he is recognised by significant Māori, Native American and Aboriginal elders, including the Yuin tribe of South Australia.
Please bring a yoga mat or blanket to lie on, plus an extra blanket and cushion/pillow to get comfortable.
Doors open from 7pm for a 7.30pm start.
Tickets cost £20 in advance and £25 at the door (subject to availability).
